If Nothing Ever Changed,
There Would be No Butterflies

Life is a constant process of change and adaptation and it touches every aspect of our lives. One of the greatest gifts of change is opportunity. When we participate with the ongoing process of change, we have an opportunity to direct how the change occurs and what the end result will be.   When choosing change as an opportunity, an even greater process is revealed to us: transformation.

One of the most beautiful processes of change in nature is watching a caterpillar entering its cocoon to then emerge transformed into a beautiful butterfly.  This majestic process of transformation has been referred many times as a symbol of inspiration of what is possible when true nature of life is revealed in its total beauty and potential. Not only the caterpillar changes its appearance into something beautiful but it also gains the ability to fly free from the restrictions of its previous state.

I believe this is the real magic of the process of transformation. I get to see it through my practice every time someone gives themselves the opportunity to change by choosing to go beyond their current state, into what resides inside of them as their own personal liberation.

At the LifeForce Center, we have witnessed this process of change and received hundreds of testimonials from people sharing their personal process of transformation. It's especially inspiring when we hear that their experience also touched the lives of others. Our daily mission is to provide a cocoon of support for each person that does the Plan, so they gain the most out of this magnificent process of greater health and well-being.

As a company we find ourselves in a constant process of change and have made many changes over the past several months to improve the ways we support others in doing the Plan. I give credit for that to all the people who work here with me.

In the coming months we'll add more content to the website, out of which I'd like to highlight a special section that will allow people to track their own results online with the Plan. This will be our own research project to more finitely capture the experience people have with the Plan. Look for more about this online and in our newsletter in the weeks ahead.

Even more visible perhaps will be the transformation of our own image as a company. In the next few weeks, the Plan will become "The McCombs Plan" as our way to better define who we are and what we do. Our new logo will incorporate the concept of the butterfly, as we believe the Plan is truly a transformational experience and an ongoing process of change. I'm a big believer that our lives are always working for us and that health is a process, not a one-time occurrence.

I have done the Plan 11 times now and each time, I am reminded that health is a process of refinement that can't ever be taken for granted. The moment we take health for granted, is the moment we start moving away from it. Personal responsibility and eternal vigilance are two keys that can be applied to the ongoing process of health. We have to be conscious of our choices and the impact that those choices create in our lives. Consciousness does not have to stop at the taste buds.

With spring just around the corner, we look forward to emerging from our own cocoon of loving and care of the past 15 years, into a beautiful butterfly that soars to new heights in a healthier world.
